What is spearfishing?
Is an ancient method of fishing that has been used throughout the world since the first civilizations appeared. Today it is done employing elastic powered spearguns to strike the hunted fish and applying freediving skills with the use of gear like: mask, snorkel, fins, weight belt and wetsuit depending on the conditions of the water. Spearfishing is highly selective, with no amount of unintended by-catch. With education an proper regulations, spearfishing can be an ecologically sustainable form of fishing.
We practice and promote spearfishing while freediving because is where the sense of sport, challenge and fareness is.
